ROYAL CARIBBEAN: ANTHEM OF THE SEAS
At Sea
Bob, Luz, Heidi, and I embarked on the Anthem of the Seas from Port Liberty in New Jersey for a 12-day cruise to the Western Caribbean. We checked in to our cabins with balconies then went on the compulsory emergency drill. We walked around the ship then went to dinner and a show. Second night dinner: escargot for starters, then vichyssoise, then 2 lobster tails, and topped it off with baked alaska and coffee! Spent a lazy day around the pool then played mahjong with Bob and Heidi in the afternoon. Saw a show that evening called We Will Rock You then watched the Halloween Costume contest. One night we did karaoke and saw a comedian do his adult version of his show.

Labadee, Haiti
HAITI FLAG
We docked at Labadee and went ashore to visit Royal Caribbean's private island to spend the day swimming and enjoy barbecue lunch on the beach.

Falmouth, Jamaica
JAMAICA FLAG
Exciting excursion to Dunn's River Falls where we climbed up the 180 feet high and 600 feet long series of falls!

Grand Cayman
GRAND CAYMAN FLAG
The ship anchored at Hog Sty Bay and we took the tender to George Town where we joined a group to go to Stingray City where we played with baby stingrays and dolphins.

Roatan, Honduras
HONDURAS FLAG
Went on a land and boat tour of the island. Highlight was a semi-submarine tour of the coral reef. Also visited a seaside town where we had local beer and saw some local folk dancers. Bought a few large conch shells and visited a shell-carving shop.

Puerto Costa Maya, Mexico
MEXICO FLAG
Just went to shore and walked around and had a drink with Bob while Luz and Heidi went on a tour.

Cozumel, Mexico
Again just went to shore and walked around and had a drink with Bob while Luz and Heidi went to the pre-Columbian Mayan ruins in Tulum and some shopping in Playa del Carmen. Been to both places so I just stayed ashore with Bob.

November 7-10
At Sea
We enjoyed the amenities of the ship while at sea: the shows, the pools, the deck, the restaurants, etc. I did the bumper cars, danced at the Silent Party, sang at the Karaoke, rode the North Star, watched the Flowrider Boogie Boarding, the RipCord by iFly. We even played more mahjong games. Sadly it had to end!
